Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — Under the royal patronage of HRH Princess Noura bint Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Creative Women Forum Saudi Arabia 2025, hosted at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University in partnership with the Women’s Leadership Center, proudly announces the Saudi Arabian Botanical Society (SBS) as its Knowledge Partner. This partnership represents a profound meeting of science, culture, and sustainability — a collaboration dedicated to the expansion of environmental knowledge and the preservation of Saudi Arabia’s botanical heritage.

A Living Library of the Kingdom
Founded in 2018 by Munira Al Hazani, with Joshua Van Alstine as Co-Founder, the Saudi Arabian Botanical Society stands as the first and only official botanical institution in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. As the Forum’s Knowledge Partner, SBS brings its scientific authority, educational mission, and cultural insight to the global stage — ensuring that learning, conservation, and awareness remain at the heart of sustainable progress.
Despite common assumptions, Saudi Arabia is home to over 2,000 native plant species, many of which flourish in its diverse landscapes — from rugged mountains to desert plateaus. The Society’s work renews this connection between people and nature, demonstrating that the Kingdom’s natural world is a living archive of resilience, adaptation, and beauty.
The Power of Knowledge and Community
In its role as Knowledge Partner, the Saudi Arabian Botanical Society serves as a bridge between research and the public — connecting scientists, educators, students, and enthusiasts who share a passion for flora. It provides a platform for collaboration, offering resources and opportunities to exchange expertise across disciplines.
Through initiatives in research, conservation, and education, the Society strengthens Saudi Arabia’s scientific ecosystem and encourages a more sustainable relationship with nature. Its mission goes beyond documentation — it seeks to cultivate understanding, curiosity, and respect for the natural world among future generations.
“Our partnership with the Creative Women Forum Saudi Arabia 2025 as Knowledge Partner aligns perfectly with our mission — to foster education, research, and awareness of the botanical sciences while preserving the Kingdom’s ecological heritage.”— Munira Al Hazani, Founder, Saudi Arabian Botanical Society
A Vision Rooted in Science and Design
The Society’s vision — to establish the first Botanical Research Institute in the Arab World — reflects its commitment to excellence and leadership in scientific study. Its visual identity, inspired by the Arabian Jasmine, embodies elegance and authenticity — a botanical symbol of purity, resilience, and national pride.
From its headquarters on Prince Sultan Road, Riyadh, the Saudi Arabian Botanical Society continues to expand its impact through community outreach, environmental education, and conservation projects that unite research with purpose. As the Knowledge Partner of the Creative Women Forum Saudi Arabia 2025, it stands as a testament to how knowledge can nurture sustainability, and how education can preserve the beauty of our shared world.
