Stars aligned on the 28 November 2022 at the iconic Lyric Theatre in London’s West End for ‘Judy - No Place Like Home’. Celebrities, including Kiera Chaplin . granddaughter of Charles Chaplin paid homage to Judy’s prolific career alongside inspirational young people from Centrepoint.
Judy Garland iconic characters today represent the LGBTQ community and Garland was someone who experienced homelessness, poverty, and poor mental health, Centrepoint celebrated what would have been Judy Garland’s 100th birthday.
Funds raised at this event will be used by Centrepoint to expand their successful Independent Living Programme, which hopes to provide 300 young people with affordable homes and an apprenticeship or a job.
Performances on the night included Paul Baker, Gina Beck, Sadie Frost, Rosie Jones, Bonnie Langford, Lisa Maxwell, Carly Paoli, Frances Ruffelle, Chizzy Akudolu, Jessica Hynes, Tamzin Outhwaite, Tom Read-Wilson.
Parliamentary Society Director Rebeca Riofrio attended the event with Centrepoint ambassador Amy Lam, Kiera Chaplin, Stuart Watts, Orla Constant, Ching He Hang and Jamie Cho.
