Natalia Kapchuk, artist, environmental advocate and cultural ambassador, was honoured at the Parliamentary Society for Arts, Fashion & Sports Assembly at the House of Commons.
Hosted by Alex Davies-Jones MP and Rebeca Riofrio, the Assembly explored how culture can be used as a force for safety, responsibility and positive social change.

Kapchuk received the Medal of Honour for Eco-Artistic Leadership.
A Russian-born artist based in London, Kapchuk’s work focuses on ecological awareness, marine ecosystems, biodiversity and the impact of human pollution on the planet. Through mixed media, reclaimed materials, natural stones, crystals, gold leaf and resin-based techniques, she has created art that challenges audiences to consider humanity’s responsibility towards the natural world.

In her speech, Kapchuk spoke about environmental responsibility and the urgent need to protect the planet for future generations. She also warmly thanked her mother, Nadezhda Osokina, acknowledging the personal support behind her artistic journey.

Her recognition reflected the Assembly’s belief that art is not passive. It can warn, awaken and inspire action.
