Evgeni Constantine Minchev, writer, poet, philanthropist and media personality, was honoured at the Parliamentary Society for Arts, Fashion & Sports Assembly at the House of Commons.

Hosted by Alex Davies-Jones MP and Rebeca Riofrio, the Assembly recognised individuals whose work has contributed to culture, society and public life, while addressing safety and responsibility within the creative industries.

Minchev received the Medal of Honour for International Contribution to the Arts.

A published poet with more than 15 books, Minchev’s career spans journalism, literature, fashion, media and philanthropy. Rising from a challenging childhood during the communist era in Bulgaria, he became one of the country’s early independent voices in media focused on business, fashion and culture.

For more than two decades, he has also supported charitable initiatives in London and internationally, including causes connected to The Prince’s Trust, the Royal British Legion, Kidney Research UK and air ambulance charities.

As the Assembly coincided with his birthday, Minchev kept his remarks brief, but his presence was warmly acknowledged.

His honour celebrated a life connected to literature, public culture and humanitarian contribution.
