Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, actress, television personality and entrepreneur, delivered a powerful speech at the Parliamentary Society for Arts, Fashion & Sports Assembly at the House of Commons.

Hosted by Alex Davies-Jones MP and Rebeca Riofrio, the Assembly examined safeguarding, responsibility, online abuse, body image and the human cost of public visibility.
Cülcüloğlu rose to international fame after winning Love Island in 2022 and later appeared on Love Island: All Stars, as well as Dancing on Ice, The Traitors US and Celebrity Big Brother.
At the Assembly, she spoke about the intense scrutiny faced by people after appearing on reality television.

Her speech addressed bullying, body image criticism and the way public audiences often feel entitled to judge women’s appearance, character and personal choices.
Her contribution was widely admired because it brought honesty to a subject often dismissed as part of fame.
Cülcüloğlu reminded the audience that reality television participants are human beings, not public property.

Her remarks gave weight to the Assembly’s wider message that media, entertainment and social platforms must become more responsible in how they treat those they elevate into public view.
